The Children's Pool was probably my favorite thing we did (other than eat) in San Diego. This is an area near La Jolla Beach on the northern San Diego coast, that was originally carved out to make a safe place where children could swim, protected from the harsh waves. When it was finished, a bunch of seals and sea lions discovered it, and realized they too would be protected so now the whole area is full of beautiful seals and sea lions. We watched them for over an hour- totally cool.
